Snow! And has the weather ever changed! The resort website said we got four inches of snow overnight, but when we got up on the mountain, it was more like 6-8 inches of wet, heavy snow. And it continued to come down all day. This wasn't a day for fast skiing, but rather a good day to get a workout on the slopes. Every turn required extra effort, and the new snow covered all the bumps underneath.

To make matters worse, the top of the mountain was up inside the clouds, so that with the falling snow, fog, and accumulations of snow and water on our goggles, we were essentially skiing blind much of the time. It is a bit surreal to find yourself part way down the mountain and only able to see white in every direction. No landmarks, no buildings, no trees, and precious few people even.

After lunch we took advantage of another of our VIP perks. On Friday afternoons, one of their ski instructors from another country conducts a Cultural Ambassador tour. The four of us were the only ones to show up for today's tour, which was led by another Aussie instructor (this one from Sydney) and we effectively had a free two hour ski lesson, along with a lovely chat.

By the end of the tour, we were all completely soaked through from all the wet snow, and it was time to call it a day.
