My darling daughters seem intent on driving me crazy. It doesn't seem all that long ago when they would eat anything I made for them. Lately though, the only thing I hear when I put the food on the table is "Eeeewwwww!" or "I don't like THAT!" It doesn't seem to matter what I cook, either. It can be something that they absolutely devoured the previous time I made it, but suddenly they don't like it. Its enough to make me scream!
I really love to cook. Its fun trying new recipes, looking for new flavors and combinations. I love digging into a stack of cookbooks, putting together a menu for dinner, buying the groceries required, and pulling everything together. After all that work, sitting down and eating a wonderful meal is very satisfying. Its even better when you get an appreciative response from everyone else at the table. Unfortunately, I'm not getting much in the way of positive feedback lately. I still like the process, and get a great deal of satisfaction from making a great meal, but I just wish my girls weren't so finicky.
