During a discussion last night my wife told me to plan on attending the 2007 BookCrossing convention in Charleston. I was a bit surprised by that, since it very well may conflict with our tenth wedding anniversary, but she was quite clear about it. She also suggested that I also look to see if any of the other BCers in the DC area would be interested in sharing a ride.

So, even though its still more than a year and a half away, I'm already making plans for the 2007 Convention. I'm hoping to have a van full of BCers heading down I-95, leaving a generous trail of wild books in our wake! Its almost as exciting to think about as my impending trip down under! Look out Charleston...DC is coming!

YAY! I love your wife :)

I'm really hoping to go to Toronto, but whether I do or not, Charleston is a "for sure"

:)

Glad to know that you'll be here "for sure"! Maybe I should plan on attending, too! (insert one of gory's wry grins)

It's an easy drive from DC to Charleston, once you get out of the DC traffic patterns on 95. Ten hours or so

I-95 straight down to I 26 and then into Charleston.

I still think Mrs Qgeek should come too, and enjoy springtime here! Mr czuk and I think it's a very romantic place...the city of our courtship, whichis why we moved back downhere from DC.

But that's another story....

When I saw resqgeek's note last night I brought up mapquest and plotted NYC to Charleston. Comes out to a little over 12 hours. I don't like driving that distance in one shot, so I would have to break it into two segments, which leads to four days spent on the road. Unless I end up with a lot of vacation days left over (which I doubt, since I hope to squeeze in more AU/NZ conventions) I think I'll have to fly.
