Plotting We were able to enforce an early bed time last night, which was aided I'm sure by the two hour time change from home. Consequently, we were able to be up and moving fairly early this morning. We made lunch, and I through the ingredients for chili into the crock pot we found in the cabinet in the kitchen. Soon enough, it was off to hit the slopes.

It was a glorious day, with clear blue skies and moderate temperatures, which made the snow soft and forgiving to ski on. We bounced around the resort, from one end to the other and back again, mostly at random. The kids spent a lot of time off trail, in the trees, as this has become their favorite kind of skiing. I was enjoying the groomed trails, flying down the mountain at speeds I would never have attempted just a couple of years ago. However, by mid-afternoon my legs were reminding me that I lead a life with far too little physical activity, and began to protest. On top of that, I haven't fully acclimated to the altitude yet, so I spent a fair bit of the afternoon panting.

Tomorrow is ski lesson day. I hope my poor stiff legs are up to the torture that an instructor is sure to dish out!

Warm bath. Excedrin extra strength. Then bed. You'll be fine. Still sore, but fine. :D

Glad you're having such a great time!
