Another powder day! With ten inches of new snow on the mountain, we headed out full of anticipation. The plan was to take the kids up into the Pioneer Ridge portion of the resort, which is less developed, with more bumps and trees. We thought they would have fun, based on what we did yesterday. Unfortunately, the powder was really too deep for the girls to manage easily, the visibility was poor (as we were up inside the clouds), and the wind chill was beyond uncomfortable. After stuggling our way down to lower terrain, we found both sun and child friendly powder, and the rest of the day was smashing!
In the picture, the younger daughter struggles to keep moving in the deep, heavy powder at the top of the mountain.
