The sun is out, but the weather pattern hasn't changed. We have a stationary front that funnelling very humid tropical air up from the Gulf of Mexico, which creates very unstable atmospheric conditions. By afternoon, the sun will have warmed things up enough to trigger another round of heavy storms for this evening and tonight.
