Perhaps I should have included a link to the interview, or at least an article about it. Blaming the altar girls for the decline in priestly vocations really steamed me, and so I was focused on that. The nuance on his argument about the sexual abuse is that it was the ordination of gay men that contributed to the sex abuse scandal (although one article I read pointed out that the sex abuse allegations actually started to decline about the time that the numbers of gay priests started to increase...I'd be curious to actually see the numbers on that). So...I guess that ordaining gay men to the priesthood is part of the "feminization" of the Church, which is an entirely different brand of bigoted BS.
