Airbus A319After a busy day yesterday, we finally managed to get the last few items crammed into our well-stuffed luggage. We somehow managed to pack enough clothing and equipment into two long ski bags and two oversized duffle bags to keep us going for a week and a half of skiing! All four bags pushed hard up against the 50lb weight limit, but the airline staff barely blinked when we checked them in.

Reagan National Airport was almost deserted when we arrived at about 6:30. We were flying out of the oldest part of the terminal, and it never really got crowded. Our flight to Minneapolis was only about half full, and we had a little room to spread out. Our landing in the Twin Cities as a little hairy, as it was snowing, and the runway was a bit icy, but we arrived at our gate without any incident.

We ate our lunch while waiting for our second leg to Hayden, CO to board. Once on board, we were slightly delayed while we taxied to the de-icing stand and they treated the aircraft exterior to eliminate the ice and snow that had accumulated. Once that was done, we were on our way.

Colorado was sunny and mild. We've settled into our condo and made a trip to the grocery store. Tomorrow morning, we hit the slopes.
