Jungle Bloke

Today was the regional Odyssey of the Mind competition. We spent about three and a half hours at a local high school, while our older daughter's team competed. They were taking part in the "Jungle Bloke" competition, which required the team to write and perform an original skit, as well as design and make their own costumes and props. The assigned theme required them to write a story about a bloke who is asked by some animals to help them solve a problem. Their skit was set in the Amazon, and they were looking for new medicines and had to help stop some poachers. While their performance could have used some additional rehearsals, their story actually worked quite well. I doubt they scored well enough to be even close to winning a trophy, but they had fun, and they learned a bit about the Amazon, which I guess is really the point. Maybe I'll transcribe and post their script later.
