It was a stunning vista me and my father visited, and we stood in stunned silence for a while, awed by what we saw. The signatures left by various people in the rock through the centuries was most inspiring, and reminded me of a small church in Lorton, VA, known as Pohick Church, where soldiers encamped from the Civil War carved initials and names into the granite of the church in over one hundred places.
