I think you jinxed me though. Not 5 minutes after I read this, I looked out my office window and there was a pekinese trotting down the side street toward the main, busy street in front of the house. I went out and got him and brought him onto the porch, called his tag vet, and found his family. They came and got him just a few minutes ago.
