School Daze

For the BirdsSki day two, Lesson day. Our daughters were signed up for an all day, private lesson, and had enjoyed their instructor from the previous year so much that we requested him again this year. So, our daughters spent the day on the mountain with an Australian bloke with a familiar home address: Canberra.

Meanwhile, my wife and I spent the day in an Adult Ski Clinic, along with a young man from San Diego and a chap from Yorkshire, England. Our instructor was a retired real estate agent from New Jersey, who has been teaching skiing in Colorado for 15 years. He was a great instructor, good at explaining what we were trying to do and how it would help improve our skiing. Several of his pointers for me paid off almost immediately, and I could feel a definite improvement. I still struggle in the bumps, but I'm making slow but steady progress.
