Been years since I had a roo as a pet. People often raise orphaned joeys, sticking them in a sack hanging from a wall in a warm place to simulate the mother's pouch. They take a lot of care.

There's also a very good reason why we don't farm kangaroos - they are almost impossible to catch and handle safely.
